Aperture and shutter speed questions
- A large aperture hole has a low f stop number. The smaller the number the larger the aperture hole.
- F5.6 has a medium aperture hole.
- The f in f-stop stands for focus.
- Set the aperture at f/32 in order to let the least amount of light through.
- Set the aperture at f/1.4 in order to let the most amount of light through.
- If you were to use f/32 then every one of the cameras, the back wall, and the foreground tiles would both be in focus.
- If you were to use f/1.4 then only the silver camera in the centre would be in focus.
- To freeze a moment in time the shutter speed should be set to 1/1000s or more.
- The shutter speed must be less than 1/30s to blur an image
- You might consider using a tripod in order to keep a sharp image as a shutter speed of 1/25s is slow enough that your hands could shake enough to blur the image.
